Myrtle Lindler

Myrtle McCartha Lindler, 87, of Prosperity, widow of Joseph Leroy Lindler, died September 22, 2012 at White Oak Manor.

Born on February 4, 1925, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Forrest McCartha and Lera Boland McCartha Mills. She was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Goldies.

She is survived by a son, Calvin(Virginia) Lindler of Prosperity; a daughter-in-law, Charlene G. Lindler of Irmo; grandchildren, Tammy Lindler (Cliff) Hughes, James David (Amy) Lindler, and Cindy Lindler (Byan) Murdaugh; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; and 5 step-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, David Lindler; a brother Clarance McCartha; and a step great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 24, 2012, at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Randall Derrick. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
