Myrtle Shealy

Myrtle K. Shealy, 92, of Little Mountain, widow of Jacob L. Shealy, Sr., departed this earthly life on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 to be with her Lord and Savior. Born in Gilbert, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Jesse M. and Bessie McCartha Keisler. She was a “Volunteer for God”, for many years visiting nursing homes, hospitals, shut-ins and caring for hospice patients.

Surviving are her son, Jacob L. Shealy, Jr. (Vera), daughter, Eloise S. Counts (Donald), 4 grandsons, David M. Shealy (Sonya), Daniel M. Shealy, Edward D. Miller, Jr. (Rhonda), and Eric D. Miller (Nicki); 2 great-grandsons, Chase C. Shealy (Jessica) and Chance J. Shealy; 2 step grandchildren, Edie C. Stockman (Bobby), Donald Keith Counts; and 2 step great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Aaron Stockman. She was predeceased by a sister, Ernestine L. Keisler Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, Little Mountain, S.C. The family will receive friends in the chapel following interment.
