Nancy L. Shealy

Nancy L. Shealy, 80, of Prosperity, died Sunday, November 17, 2013, at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born on November 14, 1933, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Arthur J. Livingston, Sr. and Ruby Cook Livingston. She was retired from General Electric – Mepco and was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Lutheran Church and the church Swingers.

Mrs. Shealy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Vones H. “Billy” Shealy; daughters, Sue (Calvin) Suber and Rita (Tommy) Cumalander both of Prosperity; sisters, Edna Shealy of Little Mountain, Betty Ruff of Pomaria, Judy Hook of Lexington and Caroline Butler of Newberry; grandchildren, Kay Dendy, Haylee Mitchell and Ashley Carter, MD; great-grandchildren, Payton and Campbell Mitchell and Brodie Carter; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Sanders and Betty Livingston. She was predeceased by a daughter, Gail Shealy, a sister, Grace Mayer and brothers, Arthur Livingston, Jr., Jimmy Livingston, Terry Livingston and Bobby Livingston.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Mt. Pilgrim Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dr. Richard Albert and Rev. Randall Derrick. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Mt. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne and Dale Suber, Randy and Patti Suber, J.C. Caughman, Harold Gilliam, Jr. Oscar Lovelace, MD, Mitch Mayer, Jimmy Butler, Marty Ruff and Chris Ruff.
