Nancy Warren

Nancy Roach Warren, 75, passed away November 15, 2020 in her home with her beloved family surrounding her. Born January 30, 1945 in Greenville, SC, she was the loving daughter of the late Claude and Maggie Murrell Roach. She was predeceased by her sister Betty Boheler.

Nancy was a devoted servant to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This devotion was on constant display as she served the needs of her family and approached those around her with humbleness, love, respect and an open heart. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Newberry where she sang in the choir and was part of Anne Hooks WMU Group and the Friends in Faith Sunday School Class. She loved to travel and experience new things but always cherished her special family beach vacations. Nancy retired in 2015 from her work with Newberry College. At the age of 55, she became a graduate of Newberry College. While this achievement gave her great joy, it will forever serve as an unspoken reminder to her family that we can all accomplish great things.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years George E. “Eddie” Warren; a daughter, Ashley (John) Hanson of Lexington; a son, Todd (Reid) Warren of Winnsboro and grandchildren, Nathan and Hannah Hanson and Avery and Georgia Warren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at First Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Albert Allen. Burial will follow at Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will speak with family and friends following the services at the graveside. COVID 19 protocols will be implemented and masks are optional but strongly encouraged. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 1020 Boundary Street, Newberry, SC 29108, Crescent Hospice, 839 Main Street, Suite D, Buffalo, SC 29321 or to the charity of one’s choice.

Active pallbearers will be Joe Bishop, Jim Edwards, Courtney Graber, Eric Hopper, Young Schumpert and Keith Warren.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Friends in Faith Sunday School Class.
