Nellie Rose “Nelle” Richardson Corley, 73, died Sunday, November 28, 2021, at her residence.
Born on December 2, 1947, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Ben “Jerry” Richardson and Inez Counts Richardson. She was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School and a lifelong fan of the Clemson University Tigers. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and never wavered in her faith in God. Having retired from the Department of Social Services, she spent her golden years caring for and loving her beloved grandchildren as well as her grand furbabies (dogs).
Mrs. Corley is survived by a son, Gerald Ray Corley and a daughter, Lisa Corley Tyson (Terrence). She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Ray Corley. She is also survived by her sister, Sheri Richardson Lazenby (Stan); her grandchildren, Dustin Corley, Lainey Corley, Sierra Rose Watson (Remington), Leya Tyson and Kadin Tyson and her great-grandson, Canaan Watson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church by the Rev. Arden Hallman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 – 7:30 pm Friday, December 3, 2021, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 209 New Hope Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.

Active pallbearers will be Jay Black, Benjie Cromer, Remington Watson, Kadin Tyson, Edward Graham and Zacorian Byrd.
