Nellie C. Cook

Nellie Brigman Cook, 82, of Winnsboro, widow of Daniel Preston Cook, Sr., died December 17, 2014 at Palmetto Health Baptist.

Born on May 5, 1932 in Marion, she was a daughter of the late Marshall Tillman and Josephine Carmilla Thompson Brigman. She was a former employee of Uniroyal and was a graduate of Midlands Technical College. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Winnsboro.

She is survived by sons, Laland Cook of Prosperity, Keith Cook of W. Columbia, Daniel P. Cook, Jr. of North Carolina; daughters, Violet Crouch of West Columbia, Cathy Baughman of Winnsboro, and Faye Harris of Winnsboro; brothers, Marshall Clyde Brigman of Florence, and William “Buddy” Brigman of Florence; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth Drury and Lietha Lee.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, December 19, 2014 in Fairfield Memorial Cemetery by the Rev. Craig Wilkes. The family will receive friends after the service.
