Nelson Harmon

Nelson Herbert Harmon, 61, of Newberry died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on October 3, 1954, in Greenville, he was a son of the late Herbert and Rose Ellen West Harmon. He was employed by Caterpillar and was a member of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by daughters, Ashley (Darrin) Clark of Greer and Angie (Anthony) Childs of Taylors; brothers Rev. Kenneth (Joy) Harmon of Irmo and Dennis (Susan) Harmon of Spartanburg; grandchildren Cody Clark, Ashlyn Clark, Owen Clark, Bryson Childs, and Weston Childs.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 30, 2016 at First Baptist Church by the Rev. Albert Allen. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 1020 Boundary Street, Newberry SC 29108.
