Nina Adams Perdue, 93, of Newberry, widow of William Mitchell Perdue, Jr., died Friday, November 4, 2011, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on August 3, 1918, in Pomaria, she was a daughter of the late Ernest J. and Carrie Cromer Adams. Mrs. Perdue was retired from the Newberry County School System and was a member of Lewis United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Women's Circle. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 24.

She is survived by daughters, Evelyn Perdue (Herman) McQuage of Columbia and Nancy Perdue (Tim) Owen of Newberry; a daughter-in-law, Debra Perdue of N. Augusta; sisters, Janie Nichols, Margaret Ashford and Frances Waits all of Newberry; sisters-in-law, Mildred Sligh of Newberry and Ann Adams of Rock Hill; grandchildren, Kelli (Dell) Tyner, Allison (Fred) McCutcheon, Crystal (Jason) Cheek, Lauren (James) McLemore, Lisa (Bob) Molinowski and Paige (Paul) Dillon and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Perdue was predeceased by a son, Mitchel Perdue and siblings, Edwin Adams, Horace Adams, Jake Adams, Virgil Adams, Sara Felker, Roberta Nance, Myrtle Kinard and Ethel Schumpert.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2011, at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, 1105 First Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
