Oscar Harley

Oscar V. Harley, Sr., 94, of Newberry, widow of Mary Naomie Rogers Harley, died Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Springfield Place

Born on November 6, 1915, in Hephzibah, GA, he was a son of the Virgil and Eliza Turner Harley. He was retired from Greenwood Mills, Joanna Plant and was a member for over 30 years at Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher.

Surviving are a son, Oscar V. (Kay) Harley, Jr.; a daughter, Sandra (Vinson) Adams; a sister, Ruby Holt; brothers, Louis Harley, Gary Harley and Allen Harley; grandchildren, Matt and Sam Harley and Kenny and Jimmy Adams; a great-great granddaughter, Dezirae Harley

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010, at Rosemont Cemetery in Clinton by Rev. Charlie Clinton. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, 965 Lindsay Circle, Newberry, SC 29108 or to Hospice Care of Tri-County, 13795 C.R. Koon Highway, Newberry, SC 29108.
