Pamela Slice Bass, 48, of Little Mountain, widow of Steven Lowell Bass, died Friday, July 5, 2013, at Providence Hospital.
Born on July 8, 1964, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Franklin Slice and Rosemary Long Metts. She formerly worked for the Newberry County Disabilities and Special Needs and was a member of the Newberry Church of God.
Mrs. Bass is survived by a sister, Tammy (Bernie) Metts of Little Mountain; step-father, Jimmy D. Metts of Little Mountain; nephews, Allen Sanders of Kansas City, KS, Joshua (Caitlan) Sanders of Helena, MT and Jordan Sanders and his fiancee, Tristen Sagal; a great-niece, Kayden Sanders of Helena, MT; maternal grandmother, Mary Ruth Long of Prosperity, father-in-law, Steve Bass of Newberry and a cousin and special friend, Daniel Long of Prosperity.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Rosemont Cemetery by the Rev. John Stoudemayer. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wightman United Methodist Church WARM Project, PO Box 376, Prosperity, SC 29127.
