Pansey Elrod Perkins

Pansey Elrod Perkins, 94, of Newberry, widow of Harold C. Perkins, died Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born in Newberry on November 14, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Wilton R. and Rosa Coward Elrod. She was a member of Glenn Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Perkins loved working in her yard especially planting flowers. She had a great love for her family and enjoyed being with them and cooking for them at every opportunity.

She is survived by daughters, Debbie Little (Larry) of Columbia and Cindy Bartley (Mac) of Newberry; a sister, Joan Ward of Florida; grandchildren, Spence Little, Ashley Little, Chris Little (Sarah), Vesta Simmons, Kade Perkins (Niki), Melody Ashley (Anthony) and Kimberly Bartley (Joshua) and ten great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Perkins was predeceased by a son, Micheal H. Perkins, a daughter, Melody E. Perkins, sisters, Christine Sessoms and Bethel Elrod and brothers, Troy Elrod and Bill Elrod.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 5, 2022, at Rosemont Cemetery by the Rev. Camden Bagwell. The family will be at the home of Cindy and Mac Bartley, 2315 Orchard Street, Newberry.
