Patricia Berley

Patricia “Pat” Suber Berley, 83, of Pomaria, widow of John Everette Berley, died Saturday, June 3, 2017, at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born on September 23, 1933, in Pomaria, she was the daughter of the late Henry Suber and Lula Bess Gilliam Suber Cooper. She was the retired owner of Cooper's Grocery and a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Berley is survived by a son, Andy (Dawn) Berley of Pomaria; a daughter, Marilyn (Jack) Skolds of Kiawah Island; a daughter-in-law, Annette Berley; grandchildren, Alica Holbrook, Kristen LaCons, Chad Torri and Robert Cass and great-grandchildren, Graham LaCons, Hannah Holbrook, Grace Holbrook and Carter LaCons. She was predeceased by a son, Henry Berley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bob Huggins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 2360 Mt. Pleasant Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.

Active pallbearers will be Barry Glymph, Paul Fowler, Chris Smith, Brian Smith, Todd Sanders and Bobby Williams.
