Patricia Langford

Patricia “Pat” Sheppard Langford, 68, of Prosperity died peacefully Sunday, December 15, 2019 at her residence after an extended illness with her beloved husband by her side.

Born on February 12, 1951 in Newberry, she was the youngest daughter of the late Robert “Red” and Gloria Padgett Sheppard. She was retired from McKechnie Vehicle Components. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Prosperity and was a loyal, devoted attendee of Cross Point Church of Prosperity.

Mrs. Langford was a devoted wife and mother who placed her trust in the Lord holding fast to her faith. She was an inspiration to many, a good friend to all, and the best wife, grandmother “GiGi” and great-grandmother ever. She will be greatly missed by all. She was married to her loving, devoted husband, Tony Langford for 43 years.

Mrs. Langford leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Tony; a son, Pete (Becky) Elders of Prosperity; daughters, Debra Wessinger of Pomaria and Hope (Peewee) Baxter of Newberry; grandchildren, Trevor (Brittany) Elders, Alicia Elders-Spires, Jordon Langford, Davion Baxter, London Baxter, Savannah Parnell, Michael Wessinger, Caroline (Jamie) Hasleden and Emily Rose; great-grandchildren, Jay Langford, Remington Elders, Dehlilia Elders and Alivia Elders; a sister, Betty (Ray) Amick of Prosperity and many niece, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Scott Wessinger, a grandson, David Ray Baxter and a great-grandson, Elijah Langford.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jeff O'Dell. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Cross Point Church, 1523 Trent Street, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Jeff O'Dell, Shane Smith, Robert Bartley, Tee Bartley, Bart Merchant, Tim Langford and Terry Langford.
