Patsy Shealy

Patsy King Shealy, 86, of Newberry, widow of Keith Wayne Shealy, died Monday, February 10, 2020 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on January 29, 1934 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Pearl and Eva Holsonback King. She had worked at West End Mill and Oakland Mill. Mrs. Shealy was a member of Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church where actively participated as long as her health permitted. She was a member of the Women's Bible Study Group, a former choir member and Millie Hamby Sunday Class.

She is survived by sons, Dalton Wayne (Helen) Shealy of Pomaria and Anthony Keith (Freda) Shealy of Laurens; a daughter, Denise (Dave) Poteat of Newberry; a brother, Charles King of Colorado; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 14, 2020 at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, 1105 First Street, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Casey Lybrand, Nicholas Shealy, Kristopher Shealy, Shawn Roberts, Cameron Lybrand and Chase Lybrand.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Springfield Place.
