Paula G. Williams

Paula Gale Griffin Williams, 77, of Pomaria, widow of Troy Williams, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at her home.

Born on April 5, 1947 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late John P. and Frances Woodward Griffin. Paula retired from the Newberry County Department of Social Services and later worked as a title clerk for Cannon and Graves Auto Sales. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

She loved her family and friends and was always considered a sweet and caring person by all that knew her. She never met a stranger and was “Granny” to everyone.

She is survived by a daughter, Dana (James) Williams; grandchildren, Breanna Williams, Avana (Tec) Williams, Autumn Caldwell and Alyssa Williams and great-grandchildren Sadiq Brown, Jada Gallman, Justin Hutchins, Jr., Kinsley Gallman, August Caldwell, Ty Williams, Aiden Boyd and an expected great-granddaughter. Paula was predeceased by a daughter Gina W. Baker and a sister, Nancy G. Costello.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church by the Rev. Arden Hallman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
