Ann Peach Foster Fralick, 75, of Newberry, widow of John Daniel Fralick, died Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at her home.
Born on March 18, 1949 in Walterboro, she was the daughter of the late Harold Quinton and Ann White Peach Foster. She received her bachelors degree from Winthrop College and her masters degree from Clemson University. Peach began her career in education as a sixth grade teacher in Greenville County. She later moved to Newberry where she taught fourth and sixth grades. A former Teacher of the Year for Newberry County, she taught at Bush River, Silverstreet, Reuben Elementary and later retired from Prosperity-Rikard Elementary School. Peach was an excellent cook and was the former owner of Peaches and Cream Catering. She also worked with Cathy's Cakery and Flowers From The Heart for a number of years. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church where she was a member of the W.E.L.C.A. Hope Circle. She was a member of the Bush River Activity Association. Peach loved traveling with family and friends to Hendersonville and all over the globe. One of the most important things to Peach was caring for others through many acts of kindness and service.
She is survived by her son, John David Fralick and his wife Cope of Columbia; a brother, Harold Quintin Foster and his wife Dorothy of Salt Lake City, UT; grandsons, Foster Aldrick Fralick and Johnston Daniel Fralick both of Columbia; nieces, Emily Bond and Amy Foster; a great-nephew, Evan Bond ; a great-niece, Victoria Foster; and by many friends who loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, December 14, 2024 at St. James Lutheran Church by the Rev. Rodney Gunter. Interment will be held at 4:30 pm Saturday at Live Oak Cemetery in Walterboro. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, 228 Jalapa Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
Active pall bearers will be Foster Fralick, Johnston Fralick,Rodney Long, Charlie Chappell, Clay Bond, and David Hix.
Honorary pall bearers will be George Counts, Ray Counts, Grady Wicker, and Erwin Hooker.
