Peggy Folk Boozer, 82, of Newberry, widow of John Franklin Boozer, Jr. died Sunday, October 26, 2014, at White Oak Manor.
She was born August 19, 1932 in Newberry, the daughter of the late Mary Lominick Folk and Luther Hamilton Folk. She was a member of St. Philip’s Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Adult B. Sunday School Class.
She is survived by sons John F. (Rita) Boozer, III and Wayne H. (Alice) Boozer of Pomaria; daughter Cynthia B. (Mike) Davis of Roebuck; grandsons John F. Boozer IV; Kevin Boozer; Lee (Jennifer) Boozer; Andrew (Lindsay) Boozer; Mark Boozer; great-grandsons Thomas Boozer and Adam Boozer; and step-great grandchildren Elijah Abrams and Olivia Abrams; sisters, Betty F. Harmon and Martha F. Dominick. She was predeceased by a grandson, Patrick L. Boozer; a sister, Marion F. Kunkle; and brothers, James Bennie Folk, Thomas Eugene Folk.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at 4:00 pm at St. Philip's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Amick with burial to follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to be sent to the American Cancer Society Po Box 1741, Greenwood, SC 29648 or St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, 2461 St. Philips Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
Pall bearers will be grandsons. Honorary Pall Bearers will be members of the Adult B Sunday School Class and the JOY Fellowship.
