Obituary for Peggy B. Stepp
Peggy B. Stepp of Fairfax, VA passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2020, only three months after her husband of 68 years, Richard Stepp. Peggy Stepp was born October 29 th , 1934 in Chapin South Carolina and lived to be 85 years old.
Mrs. Stepp sadly lost her battle with pneumonia. Mrs. Stepp worked as a secretary with the Telephone Co. and later with the Fairfax County Library and with the Fairfax County school Administration office. In her free time, she enjoyed baking, reading and spending time with her family whom she loved very much.
Mrs. Stepp is survived by her two children, Deborah S. Stepp of Fairfax County and Ramona L. Schneider of Arlington County, along with son-in-law Jack Schneider and her two grandchildren Paul Schneider of Richmond VA and Gus Schneider of Arlington VA; sisters and brother, Barbara Lyerly, Martha Taylor, Tommy Brown and Ruthie Hamm.
The family asks that in lieu of a flower, donations can be made to Macedonia Evangelical Lutheran Church, 49 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity South Carolina 29127. There will be a small graveside service for immediate family on Monday July 13 th . A life celebration will be scheduled once the current Covid-19 Virus is under control.
Obituary for Richard P. Stepp
Richard P. Stepp of Fairfax, VA passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020, shortly before his wife of 68 years, Peggy Stepp. Mr. Stepp was born on November 4 th , 1930 in Asheville North Carolina and lived to be 89 years old.
Mr. Stepp sadly succumbed to pneumonia while battling Pulmonary Fibrosis. Mr. Stepp worked as an electrician and worked for E.C. Ernst for 31 years until retiring in 1992. He received numerous craftmanship awards and awards for his outstanding work throughout his career. In his retirement he loved to spend his free time tinkering with his car and watching racing in any form, particularly NASCAR. Even shortly before his death he was incredibly lively and helpful, always making sure to take care of his family whom he loved very much.
Mr. Stepp is survived by his daughters Deborah S. Stepp of Fairfax, VA Ramona L. Schneider of Arlington VA, his son-in-law Jack Schneider, and his two grandchildren Paul Schneider of Richmond VA and Gus Schneider of Arlington.
