Ralph Epting

Ralph L. Epting, of Prosperity, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born in Prosperity, he was a son of the late Brooks and Marie Bedenbaugh Epting. Mr. Epting was the retired Postmaster of the Prosperity Post Office and a mechanic. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and attended Epting United Methodist Church. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Frances Osborne Byrum Epting; sons, Kerry Epting of Columbus, GA and Scott Epting of Columbia; a step-daugther, Sharon Ware of Panama City, FL; a brother, Harold Epting of Prosperity; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Epting was predeceased by brothers, Bob Epting and Randall Epting.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church by the Rev. Eric Fink and Rev. David Inman. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
