Ray Felker

James Ray Felker, 78, of Whitmire, died Friday, July 5, 2019 at Prisma Health Baptist at Parkridge.

Born on October 14, 1940 in Whitmire, he was a son of the late George Adam and Sarah Adams Felker. He was retired from Milliken and Company and served in the S.C. National Guard. He was a very kind individual who enjoyed helping others. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially camping. He loved his cats, Timmy and Boy Boy.

Mr. Felker is survived by his wife, Joan Hunt Felker; step-sons, David Lindow, Paul Lindow and John Lindow; sisters, Alice Welliver of Newberry; a brother, George Gary Felker of Newberry and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Bonnie Prince and Harry J. Felker.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, July 8, 2019 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe. Burial will follow in Whitmire Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Monday at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Ricky Alexanderr, Chris Prince, Jason Barnes, Willie Roller, Jr. Baker and Timothy Baker.
