Raymond Thomas Costello, 61, of Newberry, died Thursday, August 18, 2011, at his residence.
Born on July 15, 1950, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he was a son of Emilio Costello and the Lena Murrell (Leland) Hazel. He was a member of Faith Assembly of God, served in the SC Army National Guard and was employed by West Frasier.
Mr. Costello is survived in addition to his father by his wife, Lessie Harrison Costello; daughters, Rita (Brandon) Crawford, Jessica Costello Griffen, Stacy (Ray) Jewell, Brandy Miller and Sandy Jackson; sons, Jimmy Harrison and Christopher (Brittney Neal) Miller; brother, Larry (Shelby) Hazel; sister, Patsy (O’Neal) Lindler; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2011, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe and Mr. Joey Bodie. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
