Raymond Ruonavaara

Raymond Kenneth Ruonavaara, 59, of Newberry, widower of Cynthia Spires Ruonavaara, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Wellstar Hospital in Augusta, GA.

Born on March 29, 1965, in Spokane Washington, he was a son of Billie Frances Lynch Ruonavaara and the late Allen Kenneth Ruonavaara.  Ray was a jack of all trades and was always willing to help anyone solve a problem.  He also loved fishing.

He is survived by his mother, Billie Ruonavaara; a daughter, Jessica “Jessie” Gibson (George); a son, Raymond “Ray” Kelly (Lindsey); a sister, Collie Ruonavaara; brothers, Dan Ruonavaara (Peggy) and Bill Ruonavaara; grandchildren, K.P. Jones, Madison “Maddie” Jones, Zackary “Zacky” Parnell, Allyson “Ally Cat” Parnell, Noah “No No” Gibson, Liam “Lee Lee” Gibson, Aaron Gage Kelly, Jaxon Connor Kelly and Camden Rhett Kelly and nieces, Hannah Ruonavaara and Hayleigh Ruonavaara.

The family will have a memorial service at Freedom Baptist Church at a day and time to be announced later.
