Raynold Stoudemayer

Raynold Stoudemayer, 74, of Peak, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at his residence.

Born on March 3, 1938, in Peak, he was a son of the late George Walter and Bessie Lee Epting Stoudemayer. Mr. Stoudemayer was a graduate of Irmo High School and Newberry College. He was retired from the S.C. Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and was a member of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church where he was a member of the church council and had held numerous other offices. He was a member of the Mt. Mitchell Golf Association and on the board of directors for the Peak Recreational Commission.

Mr. Stoudemayer is survived by his wife, Eleanor Wiggins Stoudemayer; daughters, Joyce (Trent) Shealy of Columbia and Laura (Bob) Whitley of Awendaw; a sister, Loretta (Jack) Canon of Peak; grandchildren, Ella and Keenan Shealy and Janey and Caroline Whitley; a sister-in-law, Barbara Stoudemayer of Columbia; a brother-in-law, Barry Smith of Rome, GA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Smith and a brother, Gerald Stoudemayer.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, July 23, 2012, at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jason Antley. Burial will follow in Peak Cemetery. The family will be at his residence where they will receive friends and also will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall Building Fund, PO Box 9, Peak, SC 29122.

Active pallbearers will be Eddie Canon, Dal Dyches, Stanley Lindler, Larry Oswald, Dr. Carroll Pinner, Wehman Sieling and Emmett Tolson.
