Richard Joseph Desroches

Richard Joseph Desroches, 82, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at his residence.

Born on June 27, 1940, in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Edward Joseph and Jeanette Dorilda Beauchesne Desroches. Richard served in the US Navy and was a piping contractor. He was imaginative, artistic and had a great sense of humor. He was helpful to many and had a love for life and found great joy in entertaining family and friends.

He was the loving husband of 33 years to Barbara Majda Desroches. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Richard Desroches and Steven Desroches; brothers and sister, Don Desroches (Marcenia), Paul Desroches (Joanna), Roger Desroches and Claudette Barton (Michael) and four granddaughters. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Kathy Desroches.

Plans for a service to celebrate his life will be announced later.
