Robert Shealy Wicker, 83, of Little Mountain passed away on Thursday, November 16 at Prisma Health Richland. Born on December 4, 1939 he was the son of the late Grady and Marjorie Shealy Wicker.

Robert was married to the love of his life and sweetheart of 63 years, Brenda Hawkins Wicker. He was a 1957 graduate of Little Mountain High School, served in the Navy Sea Bees for six years and retired from South Carolina Electric and Gas Company after 33 years of service. He also worked 12 years with Rockin’ Randy’s Hauling. He was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Little Mountain where he served on church council, cemetery committee, Lutheran Men, and was the treasurer of the Happy Mountaineers. He was a member of the Little Mountain Ruritans. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved gardening, traveling, and helping others. He never met a stranger and was a friend to many.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda, children, Renae (Larry) Grooms, and Robbie (Sheri) Wicker, grandchildren, Morgan (Dell) Lever, and Madison Wicker, and one great-granddaughter, Anniston James Lever. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Gayle Wicker, and special friends Larry and Shirley Fulmer, Lorene Stuck, and Susan and Billy Jackson, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased in death by his granddaughter, Jessica Renae Grooms, his parents, and brothers, Grady Jr, Donald, and Wendell Wicker.

Services will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Mountain, SC, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the Trinity Life Center.

Active pallbearers will be Eddie Eargle, Mike Chapman, Larry Fulmer, Charles Frick, Billy Jackson, and Jimmy Wicker. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Little Mountain Ruritans.

Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church’s Building Fund, PO Box 186 Little Mountain, SC 29075 or to the charity of one’s choice.
