Ronald Lynn Lanford, 60, of Prosperity, died March 11, 2010, at Lexington Medical Center.
Born on August 13, 1949, in Spartanburg, he was a son of Margaret O'Shield's Lanford and the late Harold Edward Lanford. He was the retired owner of Ron's Auto of Spartanburg. Mr. Lanford was an avid fisherman, a member of the National Rifleman's Association and a past member of the Rose Hill Hunting Club.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Spartanburg is his wife, Kathy Darlene Ruppe Lanford; a son, Tommy Lanford of Spartanburg; a daughter, Ronda Lanford of Prosperity; a step-son, Kenneth Taylor of Gaffney; sisters, Nancy Lanford of Spartanburg and Patti Lynch of Charleston; a brother, Eddie Lanford of Spartanburg and three grandchildren, special friends, Ruth and David Williamson and Karen and Tony Renea and Jimmy Powell. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Lanford.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010, at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Randall Derrick.
