Rosemary Metts

Rosemary Long Metts, 67, of Little Mountain died Friday, October 23, 2009 at her residence.

Born on September 8, 1942 in Little Mountain, she was the daughter of Mary Ruth Boland Long and the late James L. Long. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church.

In addition to her mother of Prosperity, she is survived by her husband, Jimmy D. Metts; daughters Tammy Metts and her husband, Bernie and Pam Bass and husband, Steve all of Little Mountain; brothers, Kenny Long and wife, Johnsie, Don Long and wife, Debbie, and Roger Long and wife, Barbara all of Prosperity; grandchildren, Sgt. Allen Sanders, USMC, Cpl. Josh Sanders, USMC, and Jordan Sanders; and special friends, Rev. Pierce and Clarice Evans.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 25, 2009, at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church by the Rev. John Stoudemayer and Rev. Pierce Evans. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Little Mountain Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 8, Little Mountain, SC 29075.
