Roxanne Shealy Bedenbaugh, 84, a lifelong resident of Little Mountain, died Friday, February 5, 2021, in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Mrs. Bedenbaugh was the oldest of three children and only daughter of the late G. Russell and Sara Stone Shealy. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul Garrett Bedenbaugh, her daughter, Kristi Alaine Bedenbaugh and brother, Steve Shealy. She had retired from General Electric and operated the G. Russell Shealy Gas Station for many years. She had the distinction of being elected the first female mayor of Little Mountain. Mrs. Bedenbaugh also served on the Little Mountain PTO, as president of the Mid Carolina Cheerleader Booster Club and chairman of the Little Mountain Reunion.
She is survived by her son, Clarke Garrett Bedenbaugh of Little Mountain; brother, Tullie (Bankie) Shealy and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, February 8, 2021 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Little Mountain. Visitation will be held in the Trinity Life Center following the service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, PO Box 186, Little Mountain, SC 29075.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Chapman, Jr., Kyle Dickert, Justin Farr, Brad Shealy, Parkes Coggins, Garrett Lominack and Jamie Player.
Honorary pallbearers will be Andrea Williams, Edward Page, Jerome Caughman, Mike & Elaine Chapman, Sr., Roy & Wanda Johnson, Molly Brown, Doug Shealy, Evans Toland, Anthony & Bridgett Oxner, and Mike & Patty Remion.
