Roy Leonard White, Sr., 76, of Pomaria, died Monday, March 5, 2018, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born on October 5, 1941, in Greenville, he was a son of the late Luther and Lois Octavia Patterson White. He was a retired long haul truck driver and a member of Cross Point Church. Mr. White was a Shriner and a Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra W. McCay White; sons, Roy Leonard White, Jr. of Easley, Robert (Suzanne) Golden of Windsor, CO, Jay (Jeanette) Golden of Desert Hot Srings, CA, Stephen (Robyn) McCay of North Augusta; daughters, Tammy Lynn White Williams of Easley, Candy Rena White Carter of Mauldin and Jennifer (Donnie) Long of Pomaria; a sister, Daisy (Jimmy) Morgan of Lincolnton, GA; brothers, Ronnie (Cindy) White and Wayne (Joyce) White both of Greenville; a sister-in-law, Carol White of Charlotte, NC; thirteen grandchildren including Emily Terry and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Ray White.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 9, 2018, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jeff O'Dell. Burial will follow in the Graham Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12:30 – 1:30 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
