Ruby Cromer Lee, 88, of Newberry, widow of Russell W. Lee, died Monday, March 23, 2015, at White Oak Manor.
Born on October 16, 1926, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late J. Forrest and Minnie Fulmer Cromer. She worked at West End Mill, Mollohon Mill and B.C. Moore's. Mrs. Lee was a member of Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church where she was in the Adult Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Bingo Seniors, the West End Seniors and the Newberry Park and Recreation Seniors.
She is survived by a son, Russell Alan “Booger” Lee; grandchildren, Brian Lee, Lori Tankersley and Jordan Cannady and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lee was predeceased by a son, Randall Cromer Lee, a sister, Louise Dominick and a granddaughter, Randi Danielle Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church by Vicar Joshua Morgan. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of Jeanette Harmon, 1111 Marion Street, Newberry. Memorials may be made to Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church, 1307 Drayton Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
Active pallbearers will be Travis Harmon, Brock Longshore, Garrett Hallman, Eddie Fulmer, Barry Hartman and Glenn Bundrick.
