Ruth A. Bush

Ruth Amick Bush, 90, of Prosperity, widow of Jesse Heyward Bush, died Thursday, March 5, 2015, at her residence.

Born on May 20, 1924, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Eugene and Annie Bertha Long Amick. She was retired from Dreher Meat Processing and was a lifelong member of Macedonia Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Bush is survived by sisters, Eva Pearl Lindler and Lila Mae Derrick both of Chapin and Sara A. Shealy of Prosperity; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Taylor and Eleanor Bush both of Little Mountain and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 7, 2015 at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Randall Derrick. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:30 – 2:45 pm at the funeral home. Active pallbearers David Bush, Michael Meade, John Pugh, Bachman Pugh, Jerry Taylor and Sonny Bundrick.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Shealy, Carol Bush, Steve Bush, Eddie Taylor, Krista Kell, Scott and Debbie Wessinger, Dale Moss, Colt Moss, Pete Elders, Benjie Bouknight, Ronnie Caughman, Dr. Carroll Pinner, Caitlin Williams and Eva Brown.
