Ruth C. Lee

Ruth Chapman Lee, 93, of Cayce, formerly of Newberry, widow of James C. Lee, died January 20, 2018 at her residence.

Born on February 9, 1924 in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late James Killian and Cora Belle Stoudemire Chapman. She was a member of Capers Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, and playing bingo. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter, Dianne L. Kay of Cayce; a son, Glen Bundrick (Renee) of Enoree; 7 grandchildren, Michael F. Kay, II (Anna), Miranda Kay Smith(Jeremy), Kallan Bundrick, Darian Bundrick, Matthew Bundrick, Marie Hitt, and Dylan Collier; 8 great-grandchildren, Asher Kay, Norah Kay, Cooper Smith, Barrett Smith, Layne Kay, Gantry Smith, Paxton Hitt, and Alex Hitt. She was predeceased by sisters, Mattie Oliver and Georgie Kohn; a brother, John H. Chapman; a son-in-law, Michael F. Kay; and by a granddaughter, Erin Bundrick.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Daniel Eplee. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Capers Chapel United Methodist Church c/o 331 Holloway Street, Pomaria, SC 29126 or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

Active pall bearers will be Glen Bundrick, Michael Kay, II, Asher Kay, Jeremy Smith, Stephen Moore, Matthew Bundrick, and Garrett Hallman.
