Ruth F. Boozer

Ruth Frick Boozer, 86, of Prosperity, widower of James Elmer Boozer, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at White Oak Manor.

Born on March 4, 1927, in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Lucius and Gertrude Son Frick. Mrs. Boozer was retired from the S.C. Forestry Commission and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, Brice (Alice Shealy) Boozer of Prosperity; a daughter, Linda (George Paul) Corley of Prosperity; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dianne Goff Corley, a sister, Adelaide Dawkins, brothers, Carl Frick and Jimmy Frick and two grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, April 26, 2013 at Zion United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00- 8:00 pm Thursday at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 80 Zion Circle, Prosperity, SC 29127 or to the charity of one's choice.

Active pallbearers will be Jake Boozer, Jamie Boozer, Rance Boozer, Kenneth Boozer, Kevin Boozer, Michael Wise, Dean Stribble and Leslie Boozer.

Honorary pallbearers will be CNA's at White Oak Manor and nurses, Rhonda, Kristin, Margaret and Shondra.
