Sallie P. Rinehart

Sallie Elease Palmer Rinehart, 88, of Newberry, widow of Lewie W. Rinehart, died Thursday, November 29, 2012, at White Oak Manor.

Born on March 1, 1924, in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late David Shelton and Farrah Ellen Minor Palmer. She was retired from Old School Manufacturing and was a member of Epting Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Rinehart is survived by her son, Douglas Dale (Sandra Brinkley) Rinehart of Marion, NC; a sister, Eleanor Metts of Saluda; a brother, David Palmer of Saluda and a granddaughter, Audrey Hope Rinehart.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Fred Buchanan. Visitation will be from 1:30 – 2:30 pm Sunday at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Epting Memorial United Methodist Church, 1401 Milligan Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
