Sarah W. Morris

Sarah Williams Morris, 96, formerly of Prosperity, widow of Howard Richard Morris, died September 18, 2016 at White Oak Manor in Newberry.

Born on July 8, 1920 in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Estelle King Williams. She retired from Old School Manufacturing Company and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a sister, Louise Morris; a son-in-law, Melvin Black; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughters Faye Rinehart, Reda Black and Brenda Black; and by a son, Tommy Morris.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00PM Monday, September 19, 2016 at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Taylor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 4:00 PM Monday at the church.
