Scott Pitts

Scott Allen Pitts, 46, of Prosperity, died Monday, December 7, 2015, at MUSC in Charleston.

Born on January 21, 1969, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Jim W. and Judy Frick Pitts. He was an employee of Lake Murray Utility. Scott was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and attended Cross Point Church.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Timmons Pitts; a son, Allen Pitts of the home; a sister, Tamra (David) Haselden of Little Mountain; brothers, Hugh (Kathy) Pitts of Prosperity and Dan (Ann) Pitts of Little Mountain; three nephews; a niece and his special “framily”, Jennings Parker, Russell Pitts and Todd Sanders.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 10, 2015 at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeff O'Dell and Rev. Jason Schafer. Burial will follow in St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the St. Luke's Lutheran Church Youth, 4056 St. Luke's Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be James Wingard, Bobby Harmon, Brent Richardson, Andy Ackerman, Dave Frick, Jason Lester, Billy Pitts and Mickey Fulmer.

Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Carroll Pinner.
