Stanley Harris

James Stanley Harris, 54, of Newberry, died Thursday, August 4, 2011, at his residence.

Born on December 2, 1956, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Monroe Jackson Harris and Vera Sanford Harris. Mr. Harris was a graduate of Clemson University. He was a farmer and contractor, a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Woodmen of the World.

He is survived by his companion and best friend, Karen Leigh Bradley; a sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Dr. P.D. Bullard of Columbia; a brother and sister-in-law, Jackie and Jenny Harris of Prosperity; nieces and nephews, Sara, Erin and BJ Harris, Brent, Jennifer and Richard Bullard and friend, Leitzsey Kennerley of Hampton, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church by the Rev. Kathy Harris and Rev. Steve Jackson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
