Stanley was also a member of the Mid-Carolina Lion's Club.

To know Stanley was to love Stanley...

He was a very colorful guy. Was he perfect? He would be the first to tell you no, I am a sinner. I have been a bad boy. He was a lover of people and animals (not necessarily in that order). He loved God, his family, and his Suz (in that order), and Suz was cool with that! He loved to hunt, fish, play cards, golf, and sing...oh, and lets don't forget talk. He could carry on a conversation with a tree. He loved his family so, so much! He never met a stranger. He gave of himself from the heart. He had something going on all the time. Not a dull moment when he was around. Whether fishing with friends or about to take off the head of a friend with a potato gun(boys and their toys). He always had a way of making you feel special and important. If he had a sheepish grin, look out, the fun was about to begin. He and his daughters were three character when they were together. He and his daughters enjoyed making communion wine for St. Paul every year. He enjoyed riding the 4 wheeler and gator over the property with family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. “Stan the Man” forever in our hearts and memories! Fly high my sweet, Fly high!

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Suzanne Gray Shealy; his daughters, Steffanie (Michael) Shinn and Julie (Toby) Smith; six grandchildren, Jonathan Shinn, Jordan Shinn, Emma Smith, Rachel Smith, Rhett Smith, and Grant Smith; 2 great-grandsons, Bentley Shinn and Miles Shinn; his cousin, Pam Lindler DeHart; and the mother of his 2 daughters, Judy Sebesta and her husband Fred.
