Steve Bass

Steven Earl “Steve” Bass, 67, of Pomaria died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital.

Born on July 11, 1951 in Columbia, he was the son of the late Clyde and Myrtle Cannon Bass. He was a former employee of B&B Electric and Quality Stiching in Saluda. Steve loved the outdoors, Saturday night game nights, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Peanut.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda Wicker Bass; a daughter, Kristy Berley and her husband Allen of Pomaria; a son, Gary Bass and his wife Wendy of Little Mountain; a sister, Gayle Cannon and her husband Brice of Little Mountain; 4 grandchildren, Lexi Bass, Alleigh Berley, Kameron Berley, and Allex Berley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at New Hope United Methodist Church by the Rev. Cameron Levi and Rev. Jeff O'Dell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church 331 Holloway Street, Pomaria, SC 29126.
