Stuckey J. Stoudemire

Stuckey Joseph Stoudemire, 55, of Pomaria, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at his residence.

Born on July 22, 1960, in Newberry, he was the son of the late Frank Joseph and Hulda Stuck Stoudemire. He was a graduate of Clemson University and was the Manager of Gas Operations for SCANA Corporation. Stuckey grew up in St. John Lutheran Church and attended St. Philip's Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Engineer Fraternity.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Alewine Stoudemire; a son, Ryan Stoudemire; mother-in-law, Eleanor Alewine; brother-in-law, Jerry Alewine; cousins, Kenny Stuck, Lisa Traylor, Amy Shealy, Doug Stuck, Dr. Juliann Kleckley and Dr. William Stuck.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 19, 2016, at St. Philip's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Amick and Rev. Derald Edwards. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the St. Philip's Lutheran Church Family Life Center, 2461 St. Philip's Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108 or to the Mid Carolina Booster Club, 377 Cy Schumpert Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Nicholson, Ronny Bannister, Terry Weekly, Eddie Hyman, Morgan Sease, Brian Hare, Stan Smaltz and Randy Dangerfield.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Mid Carolina High School Baseball team, Mid Carolina Mustangs, American Legion Baseball team and coaches and former members of the Chapin A's.
