Sylvia Shell Drummond, 87, of Columbia, widow of William “Billy” Drummond, died Sunday, April 25, 2021, at the Brian Center – St. Andrews.
Born on March 28, 1934, in Peak, she was a daughter of the late James Kenneth “J.K.” and Mamie Eargle Shell. She had worked at Colonial Life and was a member of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church in Peak.
Mrs. Drummond is survived by her sister, Martha Joe Hamm of Myrtle Beach; nephews, Kenneth Edward Smith and Daniel Hamm; a niece, Shell Jordan; great-nephew, Ashley Morgan Smith; great-nieces, Alison Speight, Cameron P. Morrison and Victoria M. Jordan and a great-great-nephew, Preston Morgan Speight. She was predeceased by a sister, Daphene Smith and a nephew, James Arthur Smith.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at the Peak Cemetery by the Rev. Beverly Aurand. Memorials may be made to Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, PO Box 9, Peak, SC 29122.
