Terry Greene

Terry Dean Greene, 79, of Newberry, died Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on April 11, 1944 in Clyde, N.C. he was a son of the late George Greene and Roxie Mathis Greene Livingston. Terry worked for James C. Doolittle Logging, Swing Transport, and later retired from United Wood. He was a member of Amity Lodge #87, Newberry York Rite, Hejaz Shrine, the Consolidated Fire Department, and the Newberry Rescue Squad.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Turner Greene; nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Diane Kirkland, Debbie (Tommy) McCullough and Peggy (Mitch) Ruff and special friends, Mike and Connie Holsonback and Tiffany Dawkins. He was predeceased by his son, Henry Dean Greene.

Graveside services with masonic rites will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 22, 2023 in Newberry Memorial Gardens.

Active pall bearers will be Mike Holsonback, Tony Jones, Randall Jones, Brian Beck, Kylar Roberts, and John Edwards.

Honorary pall bearers will be present and past members of the Consolidated Fire Department and the Newberry Rescue Squad.
