Terry C. Shaver

Terry Chanault Shaver, 81, of Newberry, widower of Alice Bedenbaugh Shaver, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Prisma Health Richland.

Born on December 5, 1940, in Tuscaloosa, AL, he was a son of the late Neuma Chanault “Doc” Shaver and Mary Frances Meigs Shaver. He was retired after many years from Winn Dixie as the Meat Market Manager. Mr. Shaver was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Newberry Amity Lodge #87 AFM. He was a member of Clemson IPTAY for over fifty years.

Mr. Shaver is survived by a daughter, Lynn Wicker Wicker (Duman) of Pomaria; a brother, Thomas A. Shaver (Judy) of Newberry; grandchildren, Mary Wicker and J.C. Wicker; a great-grandson, Cayden Gallman and nieces and nephews, Alvin Shaver (LaDona), Susan Lester (Buddy) and Cindy Long (Eddie).

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Grace Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jane Mitcham. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund, PO Box 188, Prosperity, SC 29127.
