Thomas "BigUn" Gambrell

Thomas Wesley “BigUn” Gambrell, 70, of Silverstreet, died Friday, July 1, 2016 at his residence.

Born on August 26, 1945, in Whitmire, he was a son of the late Paul Wesley and Sadie Owens Gambrell. He was retired from McKechnie.

Mr. Gambrell is survived by his wife, Elaine Wingard Gambrell; a son, Mark Gambrell of Weber City, VA; a brother, Earl Gambrell of Clinton and grandchildren, Garrett and Cheyenne Gambrell both of Whitmire. He was predeceased by a sister, Gillie Brotherton and grandchildren, Wes and Austin Gambrell.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 3, 2016 at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jeff O'Dell. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00- 7:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Libscomb, Ronnie Kyzer, David Longshore, Fred Ballentine, Alvin Johnson, Eddie Wilson, Jamie Medlock, Randy Tinsley, Davey Brotherton, Daniel Lindler, Reggie Lindler, Chad Patterson and Scott Hunnicutt.
