Thomas Young Coleman, 24, of Saluda, died Friday, June 15, 2018.

Born on August 4, 1993 in Columbia, he was a son of Greg Mellwood and Katherine Young Coleman. He was a member of Pine Pleasant Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon. He was a 2011 graduate of Saluda High School where he had been a four year varsity football player. Upon graduation from high school he attended Piedmont Technical College where he studied agriculture. Growing up he was very active with the 4H and FFA in Saluda County.He was a member of the Saluda County Cattleman Association and the South Carolina Cattleman Association. He also participated in the Farm Bureau Young Farmer Program. Thomas loved working with beef cows, chickens and especially with his roosters. He had worked at the Chester Livestock Exchange. With a great passion for the outdoors he enjoyed riding dirt bikes, hunting and fishing. He found great pleasure with doing anything that allowed him to work with his hands. Of all the things he loved the most, he loved being a husband, father, son and brother and his love will forever be cherished in the hearts of those left behind.

He is survived by his wife, Kristin Fields Coleman; his son, Weyman Anthony Coleman; his parents, Greg and Kathy Coleman of Saluda; a brother, Lewis Patrick Coleman of Orlando, FL; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Coleman of Saluda; maternal grandfather, Charles Thomas Young of Hopkins; his in-laws, Tony and Leslie Fields of Saluda and a nephew, Ezekiel Gallman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 18, 2018, at Pine Pleasant Baptist Church, 457 Pine Plesant Road, Saluda, SC 29138 by the Rev. Burton Campbell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Pine Pleasant Baptist Church.

Active pallbearers will be Lewis Coleman, Daniel Young, Ryan Black, Jackie Swindler, Tony Fields, and Mason McDaniel.
