Thomas Gooding

Thomas Lloyd Gooding, 77, of Prosperity, died Monday, January 16, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Gooding was born one of twelve children in Canton, Ohio on June 16, 1945 to the late Lloyd Oliver and Louella Mae Zimmerman Gooding. After graduating from high school, he enlisted with the United States Air Force, during which he served his country in Vietnam. Following his tour of duty, he went on to work at The Timken Company in Canton as a steel worker. Mr. Thomas was a faithful member of the Restoration Outreach Church of Newberry, and loved to hunt and fish. He also loved to bake, especially for the church.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bonnie L. Willard Gooding, his sons, Louis W. Gooding, Edward T. (Kristy) Gooding, and Joseph M. (Olivia) Gooding, and his grandchildren, Emma K. Gooding, Justin T.D. Gooding, Ryan A. Gooding, Taylor J. Gooding, and Torey D. Gooding.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Restoration Outreach Church of Newberry. Memorials may be made to the Restoration Outreach Church, 67 Park Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
