Thomas H. Martin

Thomas “Tommy” Holloway Martin, 64, of Newberry, died Sunday, March 18, 2012, at White Oak Manor.

Born on November 16, 1947, in Newberry, he was a son of Myrtle Boozer Martin and the late John W. Martin. He was formerly employed with Monsanto, was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Newberry Car Buffs.

Mr. Martin is survived in addition to his mother by a sister, Rachel (Obie) Smith of Edgefield; a brother, Sammy (Nell) Martin of Newberry; nephews, John Martin, Chris Smith and nieces, Sherry Williams, Carol Ann Lucas and Mary Graham.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Trinity United Methodist Church by the Rev. Hugh Bickley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 1167 Trinity Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Gaston Floyd, Watt Martin, Bobby Pollard, Charlie Rogers, Martin Senn and Chris Smith.
