Timothy Edwin Boozer, Sr., 73, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at his residence.
Born on November 6, 1943, in Prosperity, he was a son of Mattie Shealy Boozer and the late James Edwin Boozer. He served in the S.C. National Guard and was a farmer and the owner of Boozer and Sons Site Prep.
Mr. Boozer is survived by his wife, Judy Faulkner Boozer; his mother, Mattie Boozer; sons, Timothy Edwin (Amy L.) Boozer, Jr. and Scottie Curtis Boozer; sisters, Judith Kay Boozer, Janice B. (Clyde) Hendrix, Nancy B. (William) Johnston and Beverly B. (Leon) Shealy; grandchildren, Jennifer B. (Kendall) Lathrop, Jessica Leigh Boozer and Mattie Rose Boozer; a great-grandson, Jackson Scott Lathrop and a sister-in-law, Ann Boozer. He was predeceased by a brother, James Anthony “Tony” Boozer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 20, 2017, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 am Thursday at the funeral Home. Memorials may be made to MSA Hospice, 180 Commerce Drive, Newberry, SC 29108.
Active pallbearers will be Reagan Grubbs, Tyler Grubbs, Davey Hendrix, Chad Craps, Gregg Craps, Matthew Boozer, Myron Cantrell, Ken Clarkson, Toby Faulkner and Tad Faulkner.
