Tommy Davis

Tommy Duane Davis, 81, of Newberry, died Saturday, September 17, 2022, at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born on March 30, 1941, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Harry Fredrick and Ida Ruth Day Davis. He had worked at Home Furniture and was a former church organist for Chappells Baptist Church, Glory Tabernacle and Calvary Pentecostal Church. He was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church.

Mr. Davis is survived by a sister, Toby Davis Duvall and her husband Virgil; nieces, Tracie Kinard and Pam Griffin and nephews, Jeff Davis and Gene Duvall; great-niece, Kayla Lloyd; great-great niece and nephews, Billy, Emma and Nate, and sister-in-law, Linda Deese. He was predeceased by brothers, Terry Paul Davis and Tony L. Davis.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Rosemont Cemetery by the Rev. Dan Lewis. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials in honor and remembrance of Tommy be made towards his funeral expenses at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home, 1724 Main Street, Newberry, SC 29108 or online
