Tommy Lee Metts, 79, of Little Mountain, died Thursday, June 9, 2011.

Born on June 20, 1931, in Little Mountain, he was a son of the late Callie Bembridge and Ara Cannon Metts. Mr. Metts was a retired U.S. Army veteran who served in Korea and was a member of the National Guard. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, Masonic Lodge AFM 280 and the Order of Eastern Star # 276 of Little Mountain.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bickley Metts; a sister, Bernice Turner of Newberry and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Haskell Metts, Voight Metts, Claude Metts, George Metts and Charles Metts

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church by the Rev. John Stoudemayer. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church 816 Mt.Tabor Road, Little Mountain, SC 29075 or to the Little Mountain Rescue Squad, PO Box 8, Little Mountain, SC 29075.

Pallbearers: Aubrey Metts, Darien Metts, Rich Linder, Kenny Bickley, Troy Grant, Kevin Shealy, Timmy Bundrick and Chris Boozer

Honorary pallbearers will be Masons.
